General design was chosen as the
architect for an expansion to the Wilson's Creek National
Battlefield Museum near Republic, Missouri. The project features a
library for a vast collection of civil war books, the second largest
in the country. It also houses a meeting room, display area and
staff offices.
The Visitor Center features a
film, a battle map, and a museum to provide an introduction to the
battlefield and its relevance to the Civil War. Guided tours,
historic weapon firing demonstrations, and other interpretive
services are provided during spring, summer, and fall. Check at the
