This 880 seat theater is located across the street
from the Hollywood Wax Museum on Highway 76 in Branson. The project
involved demolition of an existing theater on the site and fast
track design and construction of the new building.
|
It is the first in
Branson to provide a center of retail activity at the
entrance to the theater. The retail center is a glass
atrium which, once inside, depicts one quarter of an old
town square as it could have looked in the mid 1950's.
Currently, The theater hosts the World Famous Platters,
Jim Owen and the Lost in the 50’s music show. The atrium
contains a full service diner. The storefronts are
related to the functions of the theater lobby. The
entrance to the theater is through a 1950's era movie
theatre front. Offices for the theater are on the second
floor of the storefronts. The open area of the atrium
houses a bandstand for street dances and small
performances.
